So, why not scout the location with a couples session? Here are my tips for planning your engagement photos in the area.

Allow Extra Time

You will want to include plenty of time in your schedule to capture your photos and enjoy the city. There are so many spaces to explore so this could take more time. Make a full day out of it! You and your fiance can plan a fun date along with your engagement session.

Bring Some Essentials

No matter the time of year, bring along a bag of essentials to make sure you remain comfortable throughout the day. Pack some water, snacks, and comfortable shoes. You will be on your feet for a while outdoors.

This couple had wonderful style. Their outfits were perfect for the breezy spring day. Since Valentine’s Day is approaching, I think these outfits would be great for a themed engagement session as well. The couple began in some modern and classy attire and then changed into romantic casual outfits later in the day. I always recommend at least one outfit change for your engagement session. City Photography

From posing in front of the colorful buildings at the famous Rainbow Row to strolling by the water, I can’t get over how vibrant this city is for couples photography. The couple brought their dog along for a portion of the session. How cute! Tip from a photographer: If you are bringing your furry friend along for your engagement photos, choose a specific time. Have a friend available to take care of your pup and transfer them to a place to relax after photos.
