We are thinking out of the box today when it comes to weddings! This is the post for the engaged couples looking for a truly unique venue in the city. I cannot wait to share this uptown Charlotte wedding at the Mint Museum in North Carolina with you!
Keep reading for all of the details of this modern wedding day. Let’s get started.
Getting Ready
The couple got ready at The Grand Bohemian hotel in Charlotte. Why not get ready at the place you are staying for your wedding? With their wedding party members, the couple enjoyed the wedding morning, preparing for the best day of their lives. Take a look at the accessories this couple selected. This is a great preview of their style: romantic, modern, and creative. Every piece of this wedding was accounted for, down to those stylish shoes!
Fun fact: The Grand Bohemian and Mint Museum are a couple of my favorite Charlotte, North Carolina venues. I even wrote another blog all about them! You can read more about these venues and more here. Just be sure to check out the rest of this wedding first! Trust me, you won’t want to miss the details from this dream day.
First Look & Wedding Party
After getting ready, the couple shared a heartfelt first look and posed for some photos with their wedding party. Of course, we took time to capture some couple photos as well! If you have read any of my previous posts, you know that capturing couple photos before the ceremony can be a major time savor and moment to enjoy with your future spouse before the guests arrive.
Especially for those planning a fall or winter wedding, it is also important to consider the light available during the day. The sun sets earlier during the cooler months! Schedule your photos and your photographer accordingly. Wondering how to plan this out strategically? Find out how to create your wedding photography after this blog.
Ceremony
Now it is time for the ceremony! The ceremony and the reception took place at the same location for this wedding. The colorful background truly made this scene pop. A combination of classic, romantic florals with modern art and a geometric wedding arch was breathtaking. To further elevate their ceremony experience, the couple featured live string music! What a wonderful space to say “I do”!
Reception
It’s time to celebrate! A cocktail hour on the roof opened this reception. Chic guest tables decorated with shades of rich green, white, bright pink, and black filled the indoor reception space. The couple enjoyed a lovely dinner with their guests before sharing their first dance. Of course, there was cake too. Then, everyone was invited onto the dancefloor for the party! This was such a beautiful uptown Charlotte wedding at The Mint Museum. I hope you gathered some inspiration for your wedding day!
