Check out the top 5 Charlotte, North Carolina wedding venues in this post!
1. Duke Mansion
Guest capacity: 150 guests
I had to begin this post with the Duke Mansion! This historic venue was built in 1915 and the luxurious space is now available to book for your wedding. As a local photographer, I often find myself at the Duke Mansion. I love the versatility of the space. There are lush gardens, overnight guest rooms (yes, you can stay at this venue), and indoor event locations. The venue feels private while only being 10 minutes away from Uptown Charlotte.
After you read this post, I wrote an entire blog about the Duke Mansion for even more details about one of my favorite venues!
2. Grand Bohemian
Guest Capacity: 455
If you are looking for something modern that is located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, the Grand Bohemian might be for you! This space can accommodate the most guests on this list with a large variety of spaces to choose from. This is a luxury hotel which is ideal for destination weddings. If you are considering the Charlotte area for your big day, I suggest visiting the city first. Plan your engagement session here and schedule some tours from the venues on the list during your stay! Maybe you book a stay at the Grand Bohemian to truly experience a glimpse of what your wedding experience might be like.
3. Quail Hollow Country Club
Guest Capacity: 300
For an elevated southern wedding, consider a country club for your venue! Quail Hollow Country Club is absolutely breathtaking. This venue was designed to appear as a luxury home with all of the features of a classic private country club. This means, your photos will not disappoint! Whether you roam the golf courses, venue front, or opulent indoor spaces, there are many different options for photography.
4. Mint Museum
Guest Capacity: 300
Are you a couple who likes an alternative, artsy style? Say hello to the Mint Museum! This venue was North Carolina’s first art museum which makes it extra special. There are two locations however, we are covering the Uptown Charlotte location today. This super modern venue offers multiple celebration spaces, catering, and rentals to make planning your day easy. While your guests enjoy cocktails and admire the art galleries onsite, you can sneak off for couples photography in the city!
5. Carmel Country Club
Guest Capacity: 300
Last but not least, we are taking a look at Carmel Country Club. This beautiful space has recently been renovated in 2021, so be sure to go check out their website and book a tour to see it in person. As you are searching for your venue, always seek venues like this that continue to improve their space. This option offers more of a modern aesthetic with the private surroundings of a country club. Carmel Country Club is ideal for those who are envisioning a chic and elegant wedding.
I hope this list of some of my favorite Charlotte wedding venues helps you as you plan your dream day. If you are searching for a local photographer that frequently works at any of these spaces, let’s connect! I would love to hear your story.
