As Seen In The Perfect Palette

This Southern Bleachery Inspiration Shoot depicts an artistic villa-inspired wedding in a modern space. Each detail, from the dewiness of the model’s Italianesque makeup to the choice of a bold fall fruit palette of pomegranate, fig and grape was selected to emphasize the beauty of autumn in the South against a contemporary backdrop.

The muse for this editorial shoot was without a doubt the bold yellow bridesmaid gown. All were drawn to the golden yellow color of the bridesmaid dresses, which were bold enough for the modern bride, but still consistent with the artistic culinary and floral design they envisioned for the shoot. Copper with subtle black accents to extend the palette for the reception images, complementing the brighter colors in the overall design.

The cake and floral designers both took our creative team’s inspiration and ran with it. Many of the flowers were gathered locally and incorporated in a loose, organic style. The cake was designed using techniques usually found in pottery – a truly unique design for a modern creation. And, of course, the classic Pontiac fit the need for more character than a traditional limo or antique car.

Ultimately, the team behind the Southern Bleachery Inspiration Shoot set out to present a tablescape that a couple would feel confident replicating and showcasing on their own day with their own vendors. We selected the modern, loft-like Southern Bleachery for its elegant blank slate quality, and used only design elements that can be easily sourced through rental companies, designers and florists.
