Being a wedding photographer often means I am spending more time with the couple than just the day of the wedding! Whether I am photographing their engagement session or bridal session, there are many other moments to capture. I love the art of photography but the couples are really what makes my job so special! I love hearing the unique stories of how my clients meet and getting to know their individual styles.
When this couple reached out to me for their Indian Fusion wedding, I was incredibly excited! Today I am bringing you along through all of the events involved in this event. The couple merged their cultures and traditions, including aspects of traditional Hindu weddings and Christian weddings into their event. Get ready for multiple celebrations! I can’t wait to share this fun and loving Indian Fusion wedding with you.
Henna Party
The bride needs beautiful henna to go with her wedding look! These intricate designs have their own party dedicated to them for the big day. This is traditionally called a Mehndi. The bride and her wedding party received their henna and celebrated together. You will notice in each event, there is the intricate decor and carefully planned outfits. For this modern event, the groom even made an appearance.

Haldi & Puja
The couple and their loved ones gathered for the Haldi and Puja. This was a sweet and sentimental event as the couple was blessed for their marriage. How stunning is the photo backdrop representing the golden turmeric color for this event? Turmeric is used during this ceremony and meditation.
Sangeet
Now it is time for the Sangeet! The couple and their families joined together for this truly celebratory event. The dancing at the Sangeet is meant to merge the couple and their families. This group certainly bonded and had a blast! This Sangeet took place at a local hotel in the city of Charlotte so I also snapped some photos of the couple on site.
Baraat
For the day of the wedding ceremonies, the groom made a grand entrance to the venue. The Baraat traditionally celebrates the groom while the bride gets ready for the day. This groom made his procession count with music, dancing, and even a horse! At the end of the procession, there was a prayer and blessing for a wonderful start to this day.
Hindu Ceremony
The couple married in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony and also captured some photos in their wedding attire beforehand!
Christian Ceremony
Time for the second ceremony! For this ceremony, the couple changes their outfits and decided to save the first look for the aisle.
Reception
The reception was decorated in an elegant and modern style with personal details. There were cards on each guest table for the guests to fill out. The couple will be able to enjoy them for years to come. This wedding ended with sentimental speeches, a delicious meal, and dancing. I hope you enjoyed reading all about this Indian fusion wedding with me.
