How I View Sumertime! {Charlotte Lifestyle Photography}

August 1, 2013

Hi there! Welcome to the  journal about our lives, travels, fashion, and style. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm Amy.

It’s the time again!  BLOG CIRCLE TIME!!!  I’m excited (just a little) this month because summer has been super fun in my house.  We have travelled a bit to visit our beloved family members in Maryland, where we caught minnows and hung out on the water all week.  Man do I miss steamed crabs!!!

The trip was special, but most days when mommy and daddy are home…we head out into the backyard for our own little adventures!  We climb slides:

And get help from big brother when the summit is just TOO far off:

We make silly faces when the heat gets to be too much!

But the BEST part of summer (at least in my children’s eyes) are the times we spend splashing around at the neighborhood pool!

Don’t be fooled–they actually HATE when I bring my camera to the pool so I try not to do it too often.  They much prefer I’m right there with them in the “big” pool so that I can act as a personal floatation device 🙂

Well, that’s it for my summer…I’ve got to get outside!!!  Before you run outside why don’t you take a peek at the rest of our blog circle and see how summer is spent around the world!  Start here with my friend Nadeen of Nadeen Flynn Photography!

  1. Stefanîe says:

Omg, your post made me realize that I haven’t had steamed crabs yet this summer! That needs to change 🙂 love the pool shots of your kiddos.

  2. Angie says:

You nailed those Lensbaby shots! I know what you mean about leaving the big camera at home on pool day. When I bring it, I stress out the whole time about getting it wet or stolen, but the shots are (usually) worth it.

  3. Emily says:

Love the brother and sister shot… What a sweet tender moment. I have been trying to force myself to take the camera with me all the time but gosh it is hard because you don’t want to miss out on the fun either 😉 great work with the lens baby.

  4. Mary Beth says:

Yay for the Lensbaby! You sure you won’t want to keep that?! 🙂

  5. carol says:

Loved them all but LOVED the lens baby shots! My kids love using me as a floatation device too. lol

  6. Nadeen says:

Looks like a fantastic summer! Love these gorgeous images!

  7. kimberly says:
