When I met Katie and Wesley to discuss their Mint Museum Uptown Charlotte wedding, we laughed and talked about everything we don’t like about weddings. Yes, there are things about weddings I don’t like. Believe me, I’ve seen A LOT. But these two, they wanted to have a wedding that put their love first. They were excited about the pictures, the memories, etc., but most of all they were excited to just be married and dance with their friends.
I love to hear that. Seriously. I love pretty things, I love all the details, but it is all for nothing if not for LOVE. When your man breaks into applause upon sight of you during the first look? That is what I want to see. I couldn’t help by tear up along with Wesley during the ceremony as the maid of honor and a groomsman performed I won’t give up by Jason Mraz, and I have a feeling I wasn’t the only one. The most important detail in any wedding is HEART. Pour your heart into that person you are standing next to. It will shine through in every facet of your wedding, I promise.
