As a wedding photographer relationships are important. They are the bedrock of everything that I do. I seek to build trusting and REAL relationships with my clients…and in turn I get to document their relationship as it blooms from I will to I do. Nothing makes me happier, makes my job more enjoyable than happy clients. Stephanie and Jason are the kind of people you want to hang out with. They are kind, laid back, appreciative and FUN. I have enjoyed getting to know them over the past year+ and was so very excited to be at their summer wedding in Mooresville a couple weeks ago.
We started the day getting ready at their apartment where the amazing hair and makeup artist Cali Stott worked her magic, and we even got in a little pool party 80’s hair band action during portraits with the bridesmaids! AND, something that I’ve never seen before…a butterfly literally landed on one of the bouquets and hung out with us for a short bit. I was so happy to catch a picture of that 🙂 The couple was married at St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville. Because of the Catholic Mass schedule, we had plenty of time to drive up the road a bit to Jetton Park and get some portraits on Lake Norman. We then concluded the day at their reception at the Charles Mack Citizen Center.
After their first dance, Stephanie had a sweet surprise for Jason and sat down at the piano and played/sang a beautiful song to him that left not one dry eye (including mine…but you know I’m a sap!). The room was gorgeous, day-of planner Bridal Affairs did a beautiful job, as did the florist, Clippers and the cake artist Rina M Cake Design!
Everyone was on the dance floor, with the DJ providing amazing entertainment and keeping things moving the entire night. This crowd was really one for the record books!
