On this blog, I can’t wait to share this romantic and elegant wedding at The Duke Mansion in North Carolina with you!
Details
First, let’s take a look at some of the details. When the couple is getting ready, I like to grab photos of items like the invitations and outfits. As a wedding photographer, I value capturing the full story of the day. Every last detail counts.
You can see how beautiful this invitation suite was. My favorite part might be the watercolor map displaying all of the different locations for the wedding. This is something that is useful for the guests as they navigate the day. It also is a sweet keepsake!
Duke Mansion
Look at how stunning The Duke Mansion is. This is a local Charlotte venue that I always get excited to work at! The luxury combined with southern charm and natural gardens is truly so unique. There are copious amounts of onsite locations for photography!
Because I adore this venue so much, I even wrote an entire post about it. After checking out all of the details from this wedding, go take a virtual tour of The Duke Mansion on my blog.
Getting Ready
The bride and groom, Stephanie and Gustavo, got ready separately with their bridal party members. They opted for the classic aisle look! Since they would not be seeing each other until the ceremony, the couple wrote letters and provided gifts to each other to open privately instead. They spent the rest of the morning finalizing their wedding looks while spending quality time with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Then, everyone traveled to the ceremony. Look at Stephanie’s cool ride!
Ceremony
The couple said their “I dos” in a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony. Incorporating more than one location into your big day can be easy! With the planning team at A Simple Affair Events, this process was a breeze. For photography, I always speak with each couple about the plan for the day and create a detailed photography timeline. After the ceremony, the newlyweds captured some photos with their family at the church.
Bridal Party
While guests mingled during cocktail hour, it was time to capture bridal party photos. This group had so much fun during photography. Bridal party photos are another wonderful opportunity during the wedding to spend more time together as a group. You can really see their personalities shining through the photos.
Stephanie + Gustavo
Now it is time for the newlywed photography! Stephanie and Gustavo’s love is so radiant. We explored the onsite gardens and grounds to capture these couple photos. I also prioritized capturing individual portraits of both the bride and groom. Let’s take a moment to appreciate their wedding day styles!
Reception
After bridal party and couple photos, the newlyweds joined their guests at cocktail hour. That’s right! With strategic timing and a strong vendor team, you don’t have to miss any portion of your day. The bride and groom loved enjoying some downtime before dinner began.
I am still in awe of the romantic design for the reception. The partially covered space created an intimate environment while still offering a view of the venue outside. The lush florals, opulent gold details, and soft blush tones are breathtaking. After dining with their guests, the couple cut their cake and the party officially began! They danced the night away and then exited their wedding in style with a grand send-off. What a spectacular wedding at The Duke Mansion!
