I’ve dreamt about photographing a snowy winter wedding forever, but to see it in North Carolina is such a rarity I couldn’t believe my eyes when the forecast moved closer and it became a reality. Catherine and Corley were married at Pine Island Country Club with loving family and friends surrounding them, as well as a few inches of fresh white snow!
The Engagement Session
We joked that over the past year they had all the seasons covered with pictures between their scorching July engagement session and then a fall mini session that was crisp. I love that they now have a year’s full of memories!
The Wedding Day
Having a snowy winter wedding does of course complicate some things, such as travel and transportation. So when things got a late start I was confident it would all work out as it should. Weddings are always a delicate game of juggling schedules and many people…so for me it was nothing new 🙂 The first look was joyful and full of emotion, with both Catherine and Corley holding onto eachoher so tightly and happy to finally be with eachother on their wedding day! I was just so excited that Catherine agreed to put on her snow boots and take her chances on the frigid January day to get some rare snow portraits in their wedding attire. Thank goodness for the unpredictable Carolina weather!!!
