Sometimes you just know when you are seeing two people that really LOVE each other. This past weekend I was lucky enough to follow Nikki and Luke around historic downtown Annapolis and then on to their beautiful home in Chester, Maryland on the Eastern Shore and photograph their engagement session. As a Charlotte wedding photographer, I’m used to having to help my clients along with posing, to give a few directions here and there. However, these two were so comfortable with each other it made my job SO MUCH EASIER. No awkward stares back and forth while they fumbled to get comfortable in front of the camera. Their smiles were electric and their love VERY evident.
Annapolis has a special place in my heart, as I grew up about 15 minutes away…and I was so thrilled to visit my beloved home state of Maryland to spend some time exploring my old haunts. I also have to say that when Nikki sent me a few images of their neighborhood in Chester (right across the Chesapeake Bay from Annapolis) I squealed with delight! They have a gorgeous house in a beautiful waterfront community. I just knew I would make my photographer heart happy creating their engagement pictures in that environment. I’m happy to report that my expectations were more than met!!!
I can not wait to go back in September to photograph their wedding on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay <3.
