Sun-drenched winter engagement session | Wedding photographer in Charlotte

I’m not going to lie, scheduling this session became almost comical after several rainy day mishaps.  This fall in Charlotte the weather seemed to be just a bit more rain that I can handle…and ended up causing me to reschedule many client sessions.  This winter engagement session was rescheduled twice (and went all the way from a October date to the first week in December!).  But, do you know how you discover you’ve got the PERFECT couple???  When they are more excited about the winter session because they liked their cozy outfits better!   I sure do love the sun, but I will take a cozy sweater over a tank top ANY DAY.  Besides, winter light is just magical in my opinion.

Another fun fact from this session, after being pushed back more than once, they drove into town to meet me…and the ACC Championship had taken over Uptown Charlotte.  Clemson and UNC fans sprawled across the city and we couldn’t find a place to park.  Emily called me and asked if I knew of anywhere else we could go last minute, and we headed in the opposite direction away from Uptown and back to Belmont, a cozy little town that I have a soft spot for.  I love that Emily & Zach trusted my judgment and followed blindly to a spot I suggested.  It really was the perfect location and I think that these are some of my favorite engagement pictures to date.
