One look at Cait and I knew exactly where we needed to go for her session. She has a look to her…one that is unique and awesome and so very fresh. I just wanted to pick the perfect location that could showcase her style and beauty. We chose to do her Uptown Charlotte senior modeling session on probably one of the windiest days we could have picked. Cait was a trooper though…it’s a great thing you can’t see goosebumps in her gorgeous images, I promise you they were there. We hung around Uptown Charlotte for an hour or two just exploring the various locations that Uptown has to offer within such a close proximity. The Green, Romare Bearden Park, and The Mint Museum are all within a two block radius making this location one of my absolute favorites when I shoot in the city.
My senior photography sessions are all about the person I’m photographing. I really want to highlight their personality, style and unique quirks…not just a pretty smiling face. Although, I like pretty smiling faces too. It’s important to me to make it more about the person and less about the competition to better than the next. Life is full of so much competition and pettiness, my sessions are a way for me to slow down, breathe and just let these teens show off who they are.
