Someone once told me that the first time I held my daughter it would be more than just that, it would be the first time I got to meet my future best friend. A daughter is someone that you can relate to differently, you will share many things in life…clothes, shoes, PMS, and Daddy’s heart. When my good friend and kick-ass newborn photographer Beth Wade told me that she was pregnant we immediately began obsessing over the probability that she would get her girl. Me just being me, I was convinced it would be a girl. I would wish it so. I am a hopeless romantic, and knowing that this was her last rodeo…I just knew that the story had to end with a pretty pink bow.
Beth asked me to be there for the big reveal inside the delivery room and I was so honored. When it turned out that we would be meeting Baby Wade #3 by way of Caesarean, I just promised to be there to document their first hours together. It was emotional (yes…for me…because i’m a sap) and I felt so privileged to have been there to witness Beth meet her precious sweet baby girl. There was no other ending I could have imagined other than this pretty little girl and her (very excited) big brothers filling Beth and Brian’s hearts with so much love. Of course, you bring a 3 and 5 year old to an enclosed hospital room…well, you’ll see 😉
