I can’t lie and say that I wasn’t a bit nervous when Catherine and Jordan wanted to shoot their Mint Museum engagement pictures in the middle of February. I mean, how can I make the photos look warm and fun when it is winter and possibly freezing? But we set the date and hoped for the best, and WOW were we lucky. 70 degrees, beautiful sun and fresh blooms, basically a photographer’s dream. Only in Charlotte, people. Only in Charlotte.
The Mint Museum on Randolph has gorgeous grounds and small private gardens that make for such a dreamy engagement session location. The beginning of spring was starting to show on the first blooming trees, and plenty of gorgeous Magnolia trees provided incredible backdrops for Catherine and Jordan to cuddle beneath.
The best part of every engagement session is getting to know the couple. I love to spend time not only taking engagement pictures (obviously) but also talking with them about their wedding and helping to make them comfortable in front of the camera and with just trusting me in general. I’m an open book and I feel so lucky to call so many of my clients friends by the time their wedding day arrives.
