When snow threatened to ruin these South Carolina Lace House engagement pictures, we quickly decided to move the session forward in order to take advantage of the beautiful early spring weather before we went back into winter! I am a big fan of making decisions based on circumstances and remaining flexible. Thank goodness for clients that know when to make the best of an interesting weather situation because I don’t think this session could have been any more perfect!
Emily and Matt are a couple that you can spend hours with and never run out of things to talk about. Both attorneys, they are equally intelligent, well-spoken and have that necessary sense of humor required to practice law (my expert previous professional life opinion, of course). I loved seeing them make each other smile, how Emily would naturally melt into Matt’s arms and look up into his eyes and smile. They are just so comfortable, it is refreshing and instantly honest. Each sweet little grin, stolen kiss or squeeze made my job seem like the easiest job on Earth!
The Lace House was absolutely stunning. In perfect bloom and with the weather in mid-seventies we were spoiled. From the beautiful lace scroll on the porch to the pristine gardens, I was in a photographer’s heaven. I am fairly certain I squealed more than once when the light was just perfect.
I know that these images will go down as some of my favorites, and I cannot WAIT to see what their fall wedding will bring!
