Client Love ~ Lovin’ an Entrepreneur

Weddings

February 14, 2017

Hi there! Welcome to the  journal about our lives, travels, fashion, and style. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm Amy.

Have you read the book The 5 Love Languages?  Well, it came to no surprise to me that my top love language is words of affirmation.  And gifts too, hahaha, but that is a story for another day.  Genuine, kind words make my heart soar.  From my husband, children, family and friends…yes.  From my clients, well there is nothing more cherished in my entrepreneurial life than the client love I’m given.

I’m going to be honest here and tell you that I am 35 years old, VERY close to 36 and I still screenshot/read/show every.single.one of the thank you notes and reviews I get from clients…TO MY PARENTS.  Yes!  I call or text them excitedly like the way my daughter Lily shines as she runs in the door with a new school project clutched in her hands.  I don’t know if that says something about me, but what I’d like to think is it means I care.  I care an awful lot.

It isn’t just about the reviews either.  Those are great and all, believe me, because they are public and out there for my future clients to see and know that I will take care of them.  But I cherish the little thoughts.  The handwritten thank you notes, the kind and excited emails after a bride looks at her blog post or sneak peek gallery, they are little joys that keep me working hard.  I also love that my clients show me the highest form of flattery by passing my name along to their friends!  I don’t underestimate this at all.  That is love right there, folks.

This post, on Valentine’s Day, is a huge THANK YOU to my clients that have taken time to show their love to me.  It really does mean the world to me!

OH THE CLIENT LOVE!!!

That one time Amanda spent her time finding every single one of the places she could review me online, and left different reviews on each website!

The wall of encouragement in my office that keeps me going when I’m in doubt, full of hand-written notes from my clients.  And the emails that let me know that they noticed ME (not just my pictures or my service…but that I added value to their day by being MYSELF).

Emails, glorious emails.  Do you know what I love the most about this email from Ashley?  Not that she loves her images…or that I was able to go with the flow of her day.  What makes me feel like I did my best was that she remembers ME, my personality and how I interacted with her and the people she loves on what will be remembered as one of the biggest days of her life.

This might seem like a strange post for Valentine’s Day.  You were expecting roses, beautiful portraits of people in love?  Well I am just showing you why I LOVE this crazy business I’m in, and how full my heart is.  I might get sweaty and dirty and sometimes blisters…but believe me, I AM HAPPY.
