I thought it would be appropriate to usher in my favorite month of the year, with the windiest session EVER. This Annapolis engagement session was no joke. I travel to Maryland quite often to shoot AND for family events and love to combine the trips when possible. That was the case for Liz & Phil’s engagement session. I happened to be in town for the week of Thanksgiving and we had exactly ONE DAY of overlap in availability to shoot their engagement session. They will be getting married down in Charlotte in June, but since they live up north it was nice to be able to meet up there and get something different!
Let me tell you. It was cold. It was WINDY. Liz and Phil were troopers to smile through the 40 mph wind gusts on the Annapolis waterfront. The fall colors were beautiful and so, of course, the photos are just as beautiful. But if there could have been an accompanying video you would be laughing so hard right now! We had a blanket, gloves, heavy coats and frozen chapped cheeks from just the 1.5 hours out in the weather. I assured them that the weather will be nothing like that for their June wedding, maybe just the opposite!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Liz & Phil for hanging in with me, and trusting that I can make you look great even when the weather is trying its best to make us miserable 🙂
