The wedding day can be hectic, that is no big industry secret.  Sometimes, it is hard to fit everything in AND still have a great time with family and friends.  So when Amanda and Josh were planning their beautiful Asheville destination wedding we decided to add in a destination wedding morning after session to complete their fairytale experience.  What an experience it was!
The couple and many family and friends were staying at Bear Lake Reserve not far from Castle Ladyhawke to make transportation to and from their wedding easier and less stressful.  It also helps that Bear Lake is GORGEOUS.  I’m no stranger to water, having grown up on rivers and the Chesapeake Bay and now living within a stone’s throw of Lake Wylie.  But this water?  This water was crystal clear, even when we were up to our necks!  I’m not going to lie it definitely helps…there is nothing worse that stepping on some strange “thing” in murky water.
So Amanda and Josh agreed to meet Stefanie (my side-kick for the weekend and amazing photographer friend slash canoe navigator) and I at 5:30am the morning after their wedding, back in full wedding attire. Â Stefanie worked her bouquet preservation magic after a very long wedding day, while I uploaded and backed up all of the images from the wedding. Â We then had to settle ourselves down in our hotel room knowing that at most we were going to get 2 hours of sleep. Â Was it worth it? Â You tell me:
