When another busy wedding season comes around I always look forward to the day I get to start sharing all of the bridal portraits I’ve been hiding! Emily had a classic bridal portrait session at the venue where her AMAZING wedding took place just this past weekend, Greensboro Country Club.
The weather was perfect, especially for August. It is so exciting for me to get a preview of the wedding day look in all its glory, often times even before some of the family! We had the full property to take advantage of, so we made sure to get photos in some of the gorgeous locations that I knew we would visit again when Emily was officially a married woman! I think that Emily looks stunning, and the back of her gown is so delicate and absolutely amazing.
I was speaking to someone recently who is unfamiliar with the tradition of bridal portraits, and I couldn’t really explain exactly why…but they are one of my favorite sessions. I love the anticipation, the bonding moment usually between the mother and daughter, and the joy of knowing that the wedding is fast approaching. I didn’t have bridal portraits taken, but I do encourage my brides to think about it even when they don’t believe them to be necessary. The wedding day goes by so fast and having a full session to “play” in your gown just between you and your mother or trusted best friend is something to cherish.
