Last week I shared with you Amanda’s Glencairn Garden bridal session, so you know just how gorgeous she looked in her Casablanca gown. Prepare yourself to be overwhelmed with her wedding day look. It always amazes me that a bride can top her bridal session beauty, but there is just SOMETHING about a wedding day that ups the ante a bit. Maybe its the emotion of putting on the gown “for real” or knowing that she is going to walk down the aisle to the hushed tears of her friends and family. Whatever it is…I’m soooo thankful for it! Nothing makes a wedding photographer happier than a happy, glowing bride.
I photographed Amanda & Joey’s engagement pictures at The Farm at Brusharbor and from that day I’ve been looking forward to this wedding. The Farm is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is awesome to work with (hello Sun Drop slushies?!?). From getting ready in the lovely farm house to having the entire fields and pond as a backdrop I was in photographer’s heaven.
Amanda had a first look with her father and it was so sweet, they got a bit glassy eyed…but hugged it out and then added a cute little fist bump to seal the deal. Everyone was so excited, Amanda’s bridesmaids were so helpful, calm and joyful. Joey hung out in the pool room with his guys and stepped out for just a few minutes for some quick group portraits. When it came time for Amanda to make her grand entrance, Joey could hardly look he was so overcome with emotion. He kept it in (with a little help from his knuckle) and they smiled sweetly at each other for the remainder of the ceremony.
The reception was fun and genuine, with many many laughs and some exceptional flower girl dancing. I have been more than honored to photograph Amanda & Joey this last exciting year and wish them the best of luck going forward as newlyweds!
