The self-proclaimed “selfie-queen” married her motivational man, and the party was a positively joyful celebration! The wedding was held at the gorgeous Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. I was so excited to be back on property to photograph another wedding here and to finally meet the bride and groom in person. I loved seeing how both Jacque and Troy were so excited to marry each other, they posted countdowns on social media often and sweet little reasons why they were so lucky to be marrying the other. If that isn’t enough to make me excited for a wedding, I don’t know what is!
As is sometimes the case with my beloved Maryland’s weather, we were kept on our toes right up until the last minute. Although Jacque and Troy had initially planned for an outdoor waterfront ceremony, plans had to change due to high humidity and a real threat of pop-up thunderstorms. Nevertheless, the team at the Hyatt prepped their ballroom for the ceremony and then flipped it for the dramatic reception reveal in under an hour! I can’t say I’ve ever been to a Miami club (not yet…but I know I will have to go now!) but the custom furniture, swanky draping and pink uplighting that provided a beautiful glow during the festivities.
The weather might have thrown us a bit of a curveball, but we ended up being able to take plenty of photos outside after the ceremony. I must say, the weather wasn’t the only hot thing in town. The connection between these two is real! Troy takes such good care of Jacque and Jacque makes Troy light up! Once we moved into the reception the party WAS ON. Selfies flying, dance challenges around every corner…with sweet moments in between from loved ones’ speeches and heartfelt toasts.
Cheers to a happy honeymoon and life full of joy!
