Looking for a venue with elegance and historic charm? The Asheville Biltmore Estate is filled with a rich history and unique 16th-century details. This venue is a stunning photography location with various indoor and outdoor locations. From the botanical gardens to the winery, there are so many opportunities to explore. You can even view the Blue Ridge Mountains behind the Biltmore House. Whether you are planning a full wedding weekend at the private estate or scheduling your engagement session, I can’t wait to share a virtual tour of this grand venue!
Biltmore House
If you are a fan of architecture and historic art, the Biltmore House is a great place to start during your visit to the estate. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the previous family home of George and Edith Vanderbilt. The 250-room French Renaissance château is nestled in the mountains making the luxurious house a private retreat. Even if you choose to stay on the outside grounds focusing on a photography session, the photos in front of the Biltmore House will not disappoint. You can even plan your wedding ceremony on the front lawn with the view of the estate in the background. Tip: take a trip to the rooftop for the ultimate view and photo moment.
Gardens and Grounds
The gardens and grounds are known for their year-round natural beauty. Host your reception at the surrounding locations at the Biltmore. From the Library Terrace to the Italian Garden, celebrate your full wedding day on the private estate grounds. As a photographer, I love venturing to the glass Conservatory surrounded by botanical plants for engagements and weddings. The lush blooms and greenery make a stunning private oasis to capture memories. Sustainability and conservation are a major focus of the estate resulting in the plentiful gardens and grounds. The Rose Garden is a popular tourist attraction at the gardens with over 250 rose varieties. Regardless of the season, there are miles of trails to explore with beautiful views of nature. The warm colors of the fall trees are so dreamy! If you love to hike, plan a full day to go on an adventure to explore the grounds at the Biltmore.
Winery & Antler Hill Village
Every daytime admission to the Biltmore includes a complimentary wine tasting and access to Antler Hill Village. Grab a glass of wine during your engagement session and then order the handcrafted bottles for your wedding! There is also an option at the Winery to schedule an in-depth tour of the vineyards and facilities to learn how the wine is made. If you have a sweet tooth, enjoy a tasting of a custom red wine and chocolate menu! The Antler Hill village is the place to relax and provide accommodations for wedding guests. Dine at one of the taverns or bistros and then stay at the Village Hotel. The Winery and Antler Hill Village are a great way to end your visit to the Asheville Biltmore Estate.
