I recently went back to one of my favorite Charlotte venues, Quail Hollow to capture a wedding! The dreamy peach and sage colors for this celebration were so timeless. Especially for the cooler months, this color palette fits the current and upcoming seasons without needing to stick to the typical moody tones. For those who love romantic pastel wedding designs, you can bring this to your fall or winter wedding! This Quail Hollow wedding was a joy to photograph. With an impeccable design and nature-filled venue to match, I had a blast creating this gallery. So, let’s take a look together!
Stationery
You can really appreciate any color palette by capturing the stationery. That’s why I always prioritize creating unique flat lay photos for each wedding. This invitation suite went all out! From day-of details to the classic RSVP card, each piece of the day was considered. I layered the different peach, white, beige, and sage tones from the invitation suite. With the addition of some fresh florals, this is certainly a Pinterest-worthy flat lay!
Getting Ready and Details
After the stationery, it was time to capture even more details! From the dress to the bouquet, this wedding aesthetic was full of romance. Of course, I even snuck a few photos of the bride and bridesmaids in their matching floral lounge sets! Sharing a few laughs and a drink with your wedding crew is essential before saying your I dos.
Bridal Party
After the bride, groom, bridesmaids, and groomsmen finalized their wedding looks, it was time for bridal party photos! The group posed in front of lush backdrops from the venue’s landscape. Even the pups made it into these sweet photo moments.
The bride decided to share a first look with her dad during this time as well. This was incredibly heartwarming and a memory to capture. If you love the idea of a first look but don’t want to ruin that classic aisle look with your spouse, opt for a parent or family version instead!
Couple Photos
Following their intimate and traditional church ceremony, it was time for newlywed photos. The sun was perfectly golden during a portion of their couple photos; look at how great they turned out! I love how you can see this couple’s personality shine through. They were overjoyed on their big day!
I always have the couple pose separately for a moment during this portion of the timeline to show off their wedding looks. The bride wore an ethereal assemble completed with an intricate half up half down braid. Her light and airy bouquet was filled with the peach and sage green colors of the event. The groom wore a chic grey suit complete with a light sage tie and boutonniere to match the bride’s bouquet.
Cocktail Hour and Lounge
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour under a tent on the Quail Hollow property. With the string lights and refreshing colors, this was a wonderful greeting to the guests! A vintage lounge, full bar, and cornhole offered plenty of entertainment for the group to begin celebrating.
Reception Decor
Now, for the reception! I love seeing the completed product at each event. The reception is where the design really shines through. The indoor space creating an intimate feeling to match the candle-lit tables. I loved the addition of deep sage bookmarks with a quote from the couple to double as favors and design. With some more fresh florals, the reception was ready for guests.
Once enjoying a delicious dinner and cake, the group danced the night away!
