When I met Victoria and Quinton and we discussed their spring Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark wedding I noticed right away the way that Quinton looked at his future bride. At the time Victoria was still living in New York and was only visiting Charlotte to do some wedding planning and meet with vendors. I could tell that being around each other made everything come to life and being a part of the wedding planning made everything seem so real.
The two of them told me about their different ideas for the wedding as well as some ideas for their engagement session, which I was so excited to photograph last summer on one of Victoria’s visits to The Queen City.
Their Engagement Session
I photographed Victoria and Quinton’s summer engagement session between Uptown Charlotte and Lake Norman. I honestly wasn’t sure if we could pull off the two locations given the travel distance between them, and the more-than-likely Friday traffic situation we would encounter on 77 North going into Lake Norman. It was important though that they represent their new city to their family and friends and show off both the urban beautiful Uptown areas and the natural wooded land and beautiful Lake Norman. We made it happen and got lucky with a light traffic day 😉
The Wedding Day
The wedding day began in the Presidential Suite of the Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark hotel, where Victoria and her girls were getting ready. Everything was nicely laid out for me to photograph (LOVE!) and we were able to see all of the personal touches Victoria included in her wedding. From jewelry to comfy bridesmaids shoes, Victoria was thoughtful and prepared. As we walked through the halls of the Renaissance we ran into many excited family members of both Victoria and Quinton. Once it was time to hold the ceremony I could see the look on Quinton’s face, he was so excited to see his wife and to be able to spend the rest of the evening soaking up her 10,000 watt smiles. We were able to stroll through Symphony Park to do some romantic couples portraits before we headed back to the hotel for a fun night and LOTS of dancing. The couple ended their evening with a bubble exit and plenty of warm wishes by those in attendance.
