I make it a point when I meet with potential new wedding clients to tell them that each wedding is different and that the most important part of their wedding…is that it is a reflection of themselves and their love for eachother. Details, flowers, dresses, shoes…none of that matters where love is concerned. I believe with my whole heart that love conquers all.
When Michelle approached Mike for their first look, and the love that was reflected in each of their eyes began to brim on their eyes I couldn’t help but tear up myself. Michelle asked if he liked her dress, if he thought she looked good. Mike simply responded, “you always look good…so I’m not surprised by how beautiful you look today.” THAT is love. Love is planning a short and sweet ceremony (a friend timed it, 7 minutes start to finish!) so that you can finally exhale that newly married breath. Love is patiently enduring the family photos when you’d rather have a beer in your hand. Love is leaving the reception early to support your wife of less than 2 hours as she worries over a hospital bedside.
I was honored to be apart of Michelle and Mike’s wedding celebration and to witness the love they have for one another.
