Springing into Wedding Trends

As the seasons change, so do the trends. With spring in full bloom, you will find that color pairings like blush and grey, and lilac and green become quite popular for weddings. Wedding themes that take place in rustic barns, or romantic settings with light hues and soft lighting are trending for this spring season. As you know, there are many moving parts when it comes to planning your special day; below, I have broken down a few categories with this year’s spring trends.

Centerpieces/Decor:

Centerpieces often include beautiful floral combinations, in addition to themed decor. For example, you will see a lot of candles, lanterns, and greenery surrounding delicate blooms that are strategically placed for a truly alluring look. Floral combinations such as peonies and sweet peas are popular for spring weddings, and you will often see them in the bridal parties bouquets.  A stunning Floral design is one area that can bring so much to your wedding day by truly conveying your theme.

Attire:

Times are certainly changing in the way bridal parties select their attire. An up-and-coming trend that seems to offer both style and convenience is renting your wedding apparel online. Bridal parties no longer have to scramble to arrange an appointment and drive distances to pick up their designated duds. Nowadays, you can conveniently rent a fashionable suit or tuxedo or bridesmaid dresses to be delivered right to your door.

Photography:

The photos that are taken on your special day are the memories that you will have forever. It is always important to me to keep in mind the legacy I am creating when documenting any wedding day. Pre-wedding shots are always a must, so you can capture the anticipation of the bride and groom as they prepare to embark on their journey of forever, together. First-look photos are also cherished moments to capture, whether they are moments shared between the bride and groom or between father and daughter. Snapping shots of the entire bridal party is essential; getting both intimate and playful shots to look back and smile on.

Dessert:

The portion of the wedding that everyone secretly waits for: the sweets. In the past, it used to be the traditional tiered cake that would feature as dessert. Trending lately are dessert tables piled high with an assortment of different sweet treats and goodies to choose from, as well as a statement cake to cut. Donut walls are also making a rise on a popular way to provide a tasty pastry as a dessert option.
