Rebecca was living in Maryland and Chris was living in South Carolina when they met at a company retreat in Atlantic City. They spent the evening as any professional would, engaging in friendly networking and keeping it cordial. The fire was lit, however, and neither could stop thinking about the other and the next day they exchanged information and agreed to “keep in touch” and help each other through a tough program they were both enlisted in for their careers. Long-distance emails and texts turned into joint plans to rendezvous at the next company retreat, where they knew there was so much more than a professional friendship blooming.
The two quickly made plans for Rebecca to visit Chris in Myrtle Beach to see where things were headed, and they haven’t looked back since. Many more trips back and forth between Maryland and South Carolina before Chris proposed on the beach and told Rebecca he was taking a transfer to Maryland to be closer to her and start their life together. Their love for fine wine and great food led them to Chateau Bu-De on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. They fell in love with the beautiful views and quaint tree-lined roads and decided to host an intimate wedding with 25 of their closest family and friends. Vintage touches and charming simplicity surrounded them on the banks as they shared their hand-written vows before treating their guests to a delicious meal paired with stunningly fragrant wines for each course.
Congratulations Rebecca & Chris!
