When you bake Mac n cheese for a guy…that’s when you know it’s gotten serious. At least, that’s how Sarah showed Pete she was interested!
Although their friends and family described Sarah and Pete as somewhat opposite personalities, it is so very clear that they have much in common.
They are both attorneys and went to University of South Carolina Law. They both love Mac n cheese. They both have loving support systems that help them through everything life throws at them.
During speeches, her best friends described Pete as the yin to Sarah’s yang, the type b to her type a. They also described a girl that has grown into a strong and talented woman who would no doubt make her mother so proud. It was evident throughout the day that family meant everything to these two, and that the line between family and friend had no been blurred by the shared joys and sorrows that life can sometimes bring.
Even with all the sentimental moments, the joy and celebration are what I most recall from the evening. Chair dances above our heads, love trains and when the band brought up the entire bridal party on stage and we had impromptu solo performances from each person were some of my favorite.
Special touches included gorgeous florals in shades of lavender and purple hues, a beautiful cake made by the stepmother of the bride, and dried lavender thrown at the exit as they drove away in a vintage car.
Congratulations Sarah and Pete!
