When I first spoke to Annie about her wedding photography she explained to me that they had planned a spring 2015 wedding, but felt compelled to move the date forward because her dad was diagnosed with cancer and she wanted him to be there. Immediately, without ever having met her in person, I felt a connection…from the several instances of cancer that have affected my family. I am so happy to be able to document this time for her and her family, although I pray that cancer does not win the battle.
We met a few weekends ago for their Uptown Charlotte engagement session. I am familiar with the area, and have shot several engagement sessions in the area. Paul surprised me though, with a few suggestions of a location I had never explored! Those types of suggestions from my clients really excite me, as I aim to make each session unique even when I’m shooting in the same location. I value the input, and think that it adds to my creative wedding photographer juices 🙂
The session turned out beautiful, these two are so comfortable with each other and they made my job easy! It’s not hard to make two people look smitten…when they so clearly ARE. I can’t wait to see them again next month for their Lake Norman wedding!
