This elegant Rock Hill City Club wedding was just so much fun to be apart of! Lauren has been such a joy to work with, couples like this make me realize why I love being a wedding photographer! Despite the crazy hot temperatures, we all seemed to make it through the day with minimal tears shed (and only HAPPY tears!). Lots of dancing, even a chicken (!) made an appearance, HA!
The girls had their hair and makeup done by Vogue Salon in Rock Hill and then we went over to Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church to get ready. Lauren found her beautiful Simone Carvalli wedding gown at Poffie Girls. It was absolutely stunning on her!
The couple had a very special moment that I think was a great alternative to the traditional first look, they prayed together for their marriage immediately before the ceremony and were able to briefly hold hands. This really was a powerful, emotional moment, it helped to calm their nerves and also gave them a little bit of privacy to express their love for eachother but did not take away that first sight during the ceremony. I absolutely adored this moment.
We had a chance to take group portraits before the ceremony, as well as bridal party photos immediately after at both the Church and outside of the City Club in Rock Hill. I’m not kidding you that about 2 minutes after we stepped inside to be introduced into the reception the sky opened up in a torrential downpour. We were VERY lucky we missed that 🙂
The evening was beautiful, everyone had so much fun dancing and laughing and we concluded with a sparkler exit and a getaway in Michael’s decorated Chevy!
