So much thought and time were put into the preparations for Anna & John’s Southern Charm Events wedding in Rock Hill, SC. Anna was very lucky to be supported by such amazing parents who helped her plan this wonderful day while she was in her first year of medical school. I don’t think she could have done it without them. And they didn’t even just go to meetings and write checks, either. Her father brewed the beer and wine, and Anna’s mom grew so many gorgeous flowers to be incorporated into the bouquet and floral design.
No wedding day is complete without a bit of heartache, and for Anna’s family, it was a fire that completely destroyed the gorgeous barn on their land only two weeks prior to the wedding day. The fire luckily did not damage the home or any of the animals, but many flowers that had been carefully grown and were inside the cooler were lost, as well as a beautiful backdrop for photos on the wedding day. Anna got ready at home and we still took her photos on the property under a gorgeous tree.
It was a hot and humid day here in the South and lots of fresh water and yummy lemonade got the guests ready for a delicious meal by Roots Cafe. Shrimp and grits, carved beef and everything else you could imagine washed down by home-brews! I’m telling you, these two thought of everything and had a day that was 100% of their own design!
