You just know it is going to be a great day when you show up at the venue and everything is quiet and peaceful, so much so that you don’t actually think the girls are there! This was totally the theme for the day, chill. Except when Brady (the pup) showed up…then we all lost our chill and went into superfan mode.
I loved getting to meet the families and friends of Kim and Brian, it was great to see two people be surrounded by so much love and laughter. The laughter was especially great, as I got to see a side of both of them that I think only comes out when they are around the people they know best. Kim dancing the night away with her friends, and Brian joking around and playing Cornhole during the reception. Both of them sharing private laughs and knowing smiles during moments when they thought no one was looking. And, did I mention Brady? Kim warned me that I’d get the best “real” smiles out of Brian once their pup arrived, and she was right. That man loves his dog, and I don’t blame him one bit. Isn’t he a model-dog??
Photographing a wedding at Langtree Plantation is always a joy, no matter the season. I’ve come to love how the manicured property looks incredible all year long and that HOUSE!!! I love that house. Kim and Brian’s wedding was no exception. They had a beautiful spring day, and actually opened up my spring wedding season! I loved how laid back they both were, and how they made the day a reflection of that attitude. They had an amazing vendor team and my girl Abby from 13 Cedar Events kept every one of us in the loop throughout the entire wedding day (and way before). This helped to keep the day about the couple and less about logistics, which in my opinion is every girl’s dream come true (especially this girl!)
