Today we are heading back to The Collector’s Room for a romantic art gallery wedding. With a venue that encourages creative design, this bride and groom hosted such a unique event. If you are searching for your out-of-the-box wedding inspiration, look no further! The classic details of a wedding were seamlessly paired with modern decor and plenty of fine art.
From the wedding invitations to newlywed photos, we are covering everything from this dream day. Let’s get started!
The Details
The moments before the ceremony, capturing each piece of the wedding details is always something I look forward to. I love getting creative with flat lay photography to highlight every piece of the design. For this wedding day, soft blue and neutral tones with delicate florals created the base of the aesthetic vision. These romantic elements balanced out the modern artistic venue so effortlessly!
During the detail photos, I always grab the wedding dress to capture on its own. The photobooth space offered the perfect spot with a personalized sign and greenery backdrop. Pro tip from a wedding photographer: browse on Pinterest for detail photography ideas. Search for wedding flat lay photography for example! This can be helpful with discussing your desired photo list with your photographer later on. If you have these photos early in the process, it can even assist with bringing together your vision board with your wedding planner.
Couple’s Photos
Before the ceremony, the bride and groom opted for a first look. This was such an intimate and heartfelt moment that the couple got to share! After capturing photos of their wedding looks at the venue, we ventured off into the city of Charlotte. The city offers even more fun backgrounds along with the sense of a little adventure before the festivities of the day begin.
Ceremony
On to the ceremony! This wedding highlights how much a difference handing installations can make. Lanterns, chandeliers, and floral designs create an immersive experience. A geometric wooden arch stood as the focal point of the space at the end of the aisle. The couple walked into the ceremony together and said their ‘I do’s’ surrounded by their loved ones.
Cocktail Hour
Even the food was truly a piece of fine art at this wedding! Guests snacked on some appetizers and drank cocktails while the wedding party captured photos. The Collector’s Room makes entertaining wedding guests even easier, as they can browse through the displayed art pieces.
Bridal Party
For the bridal party, the ladies wore matching blue full-length gowns and carried eucalyptus-filled bouquets. Each bridesmaid selected a slightly different silhouette in the same length to match their personal style! The groomsmen wore chic black tuxes with bowties to match the blue wedding color.
Reception
After cocktail hour, it was time for dinner and the dancefloor. There is nothing like a romantic candle-lit reception! Each table was decorated with floating votives and final additions like fresh succulents. A full dessert bar was available as the sweet treats along with a three-tiered wedding cake. The bride and groom shared their first dance and then celebrated for the rest of the night with their guests!
